HRMS volleyball teams see success

The Hood River Middle School volleyball team had a fantastic season.

The team won its conference title with a 9-2 record, and then went to the conference tournament in Sandy and won that as well, adding another trophy to the school’s trophy case.

“The girls worked very hard this season and their improvement overall was fantastic,” said coach Tara Henderson. “I look forward to seeing this group of girls play over the next few years.”

The eighth-grade team also had a terrific year, winning its league regular season title with a 10-2 record.

The team wrapped up its season with a two-game sweep of Boring which allowed them to clinch the regular season title.

The team saw a dramatic improvement in one year, going from sixth place in the league last year to first place this season.

Coach Tracy Norton stated she was extremely proud of each and every player this season, and truly impressed with their improvement and ability to play as a team throughout each game.
