Cascade Locks CASCADE LOCKS — The Columbia Gorge Lions Club has donated $1,000 to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The club has previously donated to the New Orleans hurricane disaster and Japans earthquake disaster.
The Columbia Gorge Lions, like Lion Clubs around the world, dedicated to give help to those in need, anywhere in the world.
Charted in 1949, Columbia Gorge Lions follow the example set by its founders.
“With money earned sponsoring Sternwheeler Days, Bingo and parking cars at fairs we make the money to help locally, nationally, and internationally,” said Pat Hesgard, President .
“Our donation this time will go to the National Red Cross to benefit the state of New Jersey.
