Library’s ‘Dickens Week’ begins

There is literary fun to be found at Hood River Library with “Dickens Week,” Nov. 27 to Dec. 1. Festivities kick off with a party on Tuesday, 5:30-7 p.m., celebrating the author’s 200th year.

Other events include a Nov. 28 Family Movie Night, a reading and discussion of the book “A Christmas Carol” on Nov. 29, 6:30-7:30 p.m., and “Mr. Fezziwig’s Holiday Ball” on Dec. 1.

For full details, turn to Glenn Harris’s Library Notes column on page A5.

In addition, CAST and CGCC present “A Christmas Carol” on stage starting Dec. 6 at Columbia Center for the Arts. See the Nov. 28 edition for details.
