More help sought for Children’s Park facelift

The entire community is invited to help complete the ongoing facelift at Children’s Park (Ninth and Eugene) on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 8 a.m.

Bring your wheelbarrows, garden rakes, shovels and gloves to help spread “soft fall” bark mulch a foot deep throughout the entire playground area in order to protect children from injury while enjoying the playground.

“Many hands make easy, quick and fun work, so please plan on attending,” said Pastor Jeff Mueller of Immanuel Lutheran Church, whose congregation has taken on the Children’s Park project this fall.

A staining party in September gave the woodwork a new coat. Mueller said the next work party “should not take more than a few hours,” and coffee and doughnuts will be provided. For details contact Mueller at 541-645-0191.
