Cultural Trust now accepting applications for 2013 grants

Do you have a great art display or show you’d like to produce? Maybe you want to preserve or highlight some fascinating part of Hood River County’s cultural heritage? Or perhaps you’d like to invite a fascinating author or historian to the area to help people learn more about literature or the humanities?

The Hood River Cultural Trust is accepting applications for its 2013 grant cycle through Oct. 1.

HRCT is an organization dedicated to maintaining and preserving cultural expression throughout Hood River County. It is a part of the Oregon Cultural Trust, an organization created to help provide a permanent funding structure and grant program for artistic and cultural endeavors around the state.

This year, HRCT will have approximately $7,500 to distribute in grants. Many organizations and projects have received funding through HRCT’s grant program including the CGCC Spring Humanities Series, Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association, The History Museum and many more.

Individuals and organizations of all types are eligible for grants for projects that largely benefit Hood River County residents. Applications and grant guidelines are available at
