Hood River Valley High School’s freestyle ski team took advantage of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with some fun in the sun at Mt. Hood Meadows. On a recently completed halfpipe, the team had by far the largest presence in the contest, which was open to high school skiers from around the state. Freestyle skiing is now a division of the Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association and is growing rapidly in popularity, especially in Hood River. Below are top five HRV finishers from the event.
