Several municipal code changes on tap

A few parts of the Hood River municipal code will get a facelift during Monday’s city council meeting.

Chief among the changes is an ordinance which will ban residential development in commercial C-2 zones on the waterfront.

The council will also redefine the area constituting the waterfront.

Other changes will include an update to the city’s sign code, by entirely removing one section of the code and replacing it with a new Sign Regulations Chapter and amendment reducing setback requirements to a minimum of three feet from the side and rear property lines in some zones.
