Curves offers August membership deal

Curves of Hood River is offering new members the rest of the summer free if they sign up by Aug. 31.

Curves held an open house July 17 introducing a new line of healthy meal bars and snack bars.

Owner Julie Cantrell said the Curves Bars are packed with protein and fiber and contain natural flavors, and are designed for post-exercise recovery.

New members will not pay monthly membership fees through Aug. 31. A one-time registration fee may apply and the offer applies to the Hood River site only. To learn more contact Cantrell at 541-386-6600 or stop by 1108 12th St., Ste. B, in Hood River.

Bisnett Insurance adds Pemco

Bisnett Insurance, 508 Cascade Ave., an independent insurance agency serving Northwest residents and businesses since 1982, recently teamed with Seattle-based PEMCO Insurance, a 60-year-old company known for its top-rated customer service.

Bisnett customers have the option to call, shop online, or sit down for face-to-face conversations with an agent.

Founded by Roger and Linda Bisnett, Bisnett Insurance has grown to more than 30 employees with offices in Hood River, Baker City, Milton-Freewater, John Day, Pendleton and Lake Oswego. It also has a Ketchum, Idaho, office and an Arizona branch based in Scottsdale. Agents Marty Miller and Ginger Cimmiyotti Wagenblast staff the Hood River office.

Gallion joins Columbia River Insurance

Tina Gallion has recently joined Columbia River Insurance as an agent. She made the move from another local insurance company for the professional growth opportunity.

Previous to her insurance career she was a mortgage broker in Lake Oswego for five years and had moved from the Bay Area where her career started in high tech; she attended Denver University and received her bachelor’s degree in general business.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this team; it’s a very exciting time for me and the company,” she says.

Tina is married to Darren Gallion and has two children: Cole, 4, and Quinn, 2. She also stated that she will miss her old customers; “They are the heart and soul of our business.”
