The Hood River Watershed Group will be holding its annual picnic July 23 from 5 p.m. until dusk. As usual, the picnic will take place at Tollbridge Park right across the street from EFID’s diversion facility.
The picnic will start with a visit to the construction site to see progress on the fish ladder and weir construction. This will be a rare chance to see a major in-stream project under construction.
For more information about the picnic and tour, contact Cindy Thieman at 541-386-6063 or email@example.com.
A wide array of partners have helped EFID with technical assistance and construction funding, including the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board ($403,360), Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs ($1,675,000), and the Hood River Watershed Group (grant writing and technical assistance).
