This May, thirteen artists share their fetish for shoes in an amazing display of creativity at the Columbia Center for the Arts. Shoes are on display in a high-stepping mixed-media interpretative show.

Also, two local shoe designers will be sharing their creative process in product development displaying shoe weavings, paper foldings and fashionable biking footwear.
The show is sponsored by Blik, Footwise, and Zella’s of Hood River and curated by Sally Reichmuth and Dawn Elle.
Participating artists include: Damon Clegg, Shawn Daughton, Dawn Elle, Mike Friton, J. Neils Harvey, Abigail Merickel, Mark Nilsson, Cathleen Rehfeld, Melody Robichaud, Charan Sacher, Micki Shampang-Voorhies, Francoise Weeks and Judy White.
Also featured in the gallery is oil and pastel painter, Donna Van Tuyl.
The show remains through June 2. Gallery is at 215 Cascade Street and is open Wed.-Sun., 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Also coming to Columbia Center for the Arts and the CAST Theater is Annie Baker’s “Circle Mirror Transformation,” a dramatic comedy. CMT opens May 9-11 at CAST Theater and continues on May 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. On May 12 there is a matinee at 2 p.m.
