Secret Salsa meets Dec. 13
Secret Salsa invites everyone to warm up the winter with some Latin dancing on Friday, Dec. 13, for a ChaCha lesson with Portland instructors Uwe Hessinger and Colleen Suzanne at the White Salmon Grange Hall. The lesson is open to all levels, no partner necessary, and begins at 7:30 p.m. — there will be dancing until 10:30 p.m. Admission is $10. Connell, Dwyer play Dec. 6
Mandolinists Tim Connell and Jack Dwyer have just released an album called “Mando Planet.” The duo will be in Hood River for a house concert on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. (401 Montello, Hood River). “Tim and Jack have gathered their handsome talents, creative energy and wide musical tastes into a collection of clear and concise gems in these mando duets. Whether they are playing an Irish jig, a Brazilian choro or improvising freely on one of their original tunes, the music always has focus and authenticity.”
United Way benefit Dec. 8
Catch the holiday spirit with the fourth-annual United Way holiday benefit concert with rock violinist Aaron Meyer, and his amazing six-piece band on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3:30 p.m. at the Best Western Hood River Inn.

This delightful afternoon concert benefits United Way of the Columbia Gorge, which this year allocated $155,000 to 40 agencies, helping people in need in our community. Typhoon disaster benefit show Nov. 29 at Dog River Coffee
Join Irish band Barley Draught on Friday, Nov. 29, at Dog River Coffee for traditional Irish ballads, carols, sing-along songs and stories.
