Friends’ annual series visits some amazing places

In preparation for the transition from summer to autumn, Friends of the Columbia Gorge recently announced its lineup for the group’s annual Fall Hikes, Outings and Stewardship program. The series, starting Sept. 13 and running through the end of October, offers a variety of guided outdoor excursions, ranging from easy strolls to strenuous all-day outings, all accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable members of the Friends program.

As summer heat subsides and the change of seasons ignites the landscape with spectacular fall colors, these hikes are an especially-good opportunity for those who want to enjoy the Gorge’s many wonderful trails with friendly company, or for those who may not know exactly where to go.
