Do you have a great art display or show you’d like to produce? Maybe you want to preserve or highlight some fascinating part of Hood River County’s cultural heritage? Or perhaps you’d like to invite a fascinating author or historian to the area to help people learn more about literature or the humanities?
If you have a project in the arts, heritage or humanities, the Hood River Cultural Trust wants you. HRCT is now accepting applications for its 2013 grant cycle. Applications are due Oct. 1.
HRCT is an organization dedicated to maintaining and preserving cultural expression throughout Hood River County. It is a part of the Oregon Cultural Trust, an organization created by the Legislative Assembly to help provide a permanent funding structure and grant program for artistic and cultural endeavors around the state.
The Oregon Cultural Trust is supported by donations from generous individuals and organizations throughout Oregon.
This year, HRCT will have approximately $7,500 to distribute in grants. Individuals and organizations of all types are eligible for grants for projects that largely benefit Hood River County residents. Applications and grant guidelines are available at hoodriverculturaltrust.org.
