Police Log for April 12

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River March 24-30.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

March 25 — Montello Avenue — Male reported he was assaulted by another unknown mail.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

March 29 — Avalon Way, 1700 block — Hood River resident cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

March 29 — Second Street, 100 block — Officer identified a suspect in a fight during a traffic stop and found marijuana on his person after a consent search. He was cited and released.

March 30 — I-84 at milepost 63 — A Vancouver, Wash., resident was arrested on the charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of heroin, and lodged at NORCOR.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

March 29 — Marina Way at Button Bridge Road — A Washington state resident was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at NORCOR.

March 30 — Third Street at Columbia Street — A Hood River resident was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

March 26 — Sieverkropp Drive, 500 block — Male reported identity theft after learning someone used his wife’s Social Security number to file taxes.

March 26 — 12th Street, 1900 block — A Washington state resident reported receiving a check, which he deposited into his account, and later discovered to be fraudulent.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

March 24 — Cascade Avenue, 2100 block — A Washington state female reported her car had been the victim of a hit-and-run.

March 25 — Button Bridge Road at E. Marina Way — Officer investigated a two-car motor vehicle crash.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

March 24 — Cascade Avenue, 3100 block — Female arrested on a valid warrant out of Hood River Municipal Court.

March 29 — Second Street, 100 block — A Washington state resident was arrested on a valid Hood River Municipal Court warrant and cited for unlawful possession of cocaine.

March 29 — 12th Street, 1700 block — A Washington state male was arrested on a Hood River Circuit Court warrant.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

March 25 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Two Hood River females involved in a robbery were arrested and lodged at NORCOR. On arrest, they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. One was also in possession of hashish oil.

March 26 — State Street, 200 block — A Hood River female reported the loss of a brown pouch containing her jewelry.

March 27 — 12th Street, 1300 block — A Hood River business owner reported a banner stolen from the premises.


March 24 — 12th Street, 1800 block — Female reported loss of welfare vouchers.
