Families in the Park return Aug. 7

Music, sponsors and fundraising schedule

Jim Drake’s TOTALLY ‘80S Entertainment Blog

Thursday’s concert featuring ‘80s cover band Radical Revolution is going to be fun. Besides being spot-on with the music, the band has a great vocalist that really does a good job. The voice range and nuances are going to bring back good memories.

So, just to be sure, how much is this band into ‘80s music? Well, further research indicated that due to copyright issues, the band had to change their name from “The Breakfast Club” to Radical Revolution. Enough said on that.

And, now, to prove I was there (in the ‘80s, not in the Breakfast Club) the following is a list of artists I was able to name from listening to Radical Revolution’s song demo mp3, from memory.

I only had to use Google two or three times (italics). I mean, who the heck remembers the band name “Dead or Alive?”

J. Geils, Bon Jovi, Tommy Tutone, Bryan Adams, Soft Cell, Devo, Dead or Alive, Kenny Loggins, Joan Jett, Don Henley, John Mellencamp, Tears for Fears, Rick Springfield, a-Ha, Eddie Money, Simple Minds. :0)
