CAST holds autitions for ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’

The “Golden Days of Radio” will come alive during CAST’s holiday production of “It’s A Wonderful Life - The Radio Play,” by Philip Grecian, based on the film by Frank Capra.

The play, will theatrically return us to the 1940s for an authentic radio broadcast before live studio audience. Gary Young will direct the production, to be stated in December at CAST

Actors in multiple roles will play 63 speaking parts plus crowds, mobs, and passersby. The final cast will include seven to 10 men, three to five women, two boys and two girls, plus a women’s 1940s singing trio and “on stage” sounds affects crew. Actors with the ability to play multiple voices are encouraged to audition as are “first-time” and “seasoned” actors.

Auditions will be held at Columbia Center for the Arts, 213 Cascade St., on Sept. 7, 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., and Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
