This week volunteers at Adopt A Dog have selected Cari as this week’s adoptable pet. This is a courtesy posting; for more information on Cari, please contact her owner, Craig Asher, at 516-729-0327 or email@example.com.
Asher describes her as follows:
“Meet Cari. I found this sweet girl on my drive down Baja, Mexico, last year. She has been with me and my three other Baja rescue dogs since then. We have travelled together from the tip of Baja to Alaska and back.
“She is a great dog. She is super sweet and absolutely awesome with people, especially children. She is not, however, always good with other dogs. Lately, she has been fighting with one of my other dogs, and sadly, I cannot keep her anymore. I would love to find a nice, loving family for her. Preferably a family with children and a large yard and either no other dogs, or not another male dog. She can get along with other female dogs, but not always.
“Cari is very loving, but also very independent. She can happily spend hours at a time in the woods or the desert or the beach, hunting for little critters such as mice or lizards or crabs or who knows what. She is not that great of a hunter though because, to my knowledge, she has never caught anything! She has come in contact with a porcupine on two occasions, but she got the worst of those encounters.
“I found Cari with a bad limp in one of her back legs. She may have broken her leg at one point and it never healed properly. I have had a couple different vets look at her leg and they seem to think that it would not be a good idea to attempt a repair of the leg because she still gets around just fine. In fact, when she needs to, she can run just as fast as any of my other dogs.
“Cari is spayed, current on shots and microchipped. If you think you’ve got the home to make Cari happy, please call me directly at 516-729-0327 or firstname.lastname@example.org.”
