Farm Bureau seeks photos for calendar

Oregon Farm Bureau is looking for citizen images of farming and ranching for its 2015 Oregon Bounty Calendar.

The award-winning calendar celebrates all aspects of Oregon agriculture: the commodities, the people, the production, the landscape, the enjoyment, anything that depicts the beauty, technology, culture, or tradition of family farming and ranching.

Summer is a great time to capture Oregon agriculture in the country — and in the city — so photographers, get your cameras ready! Horizontal-format, high-resolution images – both close-ups and panoramic views — are needed of all types of agriculture in all seasons. Subject ideas include the harvesting of crops, planting of crops, close-ups of ag products or crops in the field, panoramic scenes of farmland, people enjoying agriculture or ag products, farm animals, portraits of farmers/ranchers, farmers markets, county fairs, harvest festivals, farming scenes from all seasons.

The deadline for entries is Sept. 15, 2014.

Photo specifications and contest rules are available at oregonfb.org/calendar.

Photographers with images selected for month pages in Oregon’s Bounty will receive a photo credit in the 2015 calendar, copies of the calendar, and a year of Farm Bureau membership if they have not already joined the organization.
