‘At Home in the Wild’ presentation Aug. 26

Local photographer Peter Marbach will present “At Home in the Wild” at the Parkdale Library Aug. 26 at 7 p.m., a visual journey to his favorite wild places in the Mount Hood and Columbia River Gorge areas.

He will share stories behind the creation of his images and the value of time spent in the wilderness.

A portion of the sales from his books and new titled wilderness print at the event will be donated to the Hood River Library; he will also unveil his 2015 Columbia Gorge calendar. The event is free and open to the public.

Peter Marbach‘s evocative landscapes reflect time spent working with light at the edge of day.

He has co-produced four Mount Hood Jazz Festival commemorative prints that have become collector’s items in the Northwest.

He has produced five photo essay book projects and enjoyed commercial success with clients including National Geographic, Sunset, Country, Alaska Airlines, and Travel Oregon.
