Sheriff Log for Feb. 12

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River Feb. 2-9.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Feb. 5 — Carter Road — An unknown person called a residence repetitively.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Feb. 9 — Cooper Spur Road at Highway 35 — Male cited and released for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. He was additionally cited with open container of alcohol.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Feb. 3 — 13th Street at Taylor Avenue — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop. BAC registered .30 percent. He was lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Feb. 3 — Tucker Road, 1000 block — Identity theft and theft II reported from a business via the Internet and the suspect is out of state.

Feb. 6 — N.W. Clark Street, 0-100 block, Cascade Locks — Deputies seized several boxes of merchandise purchased through identity theft via the Internet.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Feb. 2 — Avalon Drive at Belmont Avenue — Deputy assisted the Hood River Police with a traffic crash investigation that led to a driving under the influence of intoxicants arrest.

Feb. 2 — Second Street at Cascade Avenue — Deputy assisted Hood River City Police during a traffic stop.

Feb. 7 — Highway 35 at Ehrck Hill Drive — Deputy responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury crash. The vehicle was towed.

Feb. 9 — Wells Drive, 2300 block — Deputy covered two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle crash.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Feb. 4 — State Street, 300 block — Female arrested for probation violation.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Feb. 3 — Wells Drive, 2000 block — Male contacted regarding theft I complaint.

Feb. 3 — Bartlett Drive, 4000 block — Gas siphoned from a tank reported.

Feb. 4 — N.E. Herman Creek Lane, 100 block, Cascade Locks — Unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, theft and criminal mischief reported.


Feb. 3 — Highway 35, 14000 block — Mt. Hood Meadows requested assistance for an out of bounds snowboarder. Subject was located.

Feb. 4 — Highway 35, 14000 block — Deputy advised that a search and rescue was occurring at Mt. Hood Meadows. An out-of-bounds snowboarder was lost in White River Canyon. Ski patrol advised the subject was lost but under the power lines. They responded with three ski patrollers and located the subject, then escorted him out.
