A call for entries is being made to professional and amateur photographers to submit images from the Columbia River Gorge area. This year, the show is concentrating on photography that is outside the “box.”
Often in photography, there can be so much more beneath the surface of a piece. This year’s show focuses on work that goes beyond the traditional landscape and scenery photography. Images should embody more than one reality; make the audience stop and think; stretching the ordinary and evoking a unique and creative way to visualize the world.
Finalists will be unveiled at the Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River on Friday, May 2, during the First Friday gallery opening..
Submission deadline is April 1; digital uploads only.
Entry fee is $25 for the first five images (100 percent of the entry fees go to support the nonprofit Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River). See below for more entry specifications. The contest is sponsored by Pro Photo Supply, and Friends of the Columbia Gorge.
