This week volunteers at Adopt A Dog have selected Harmony as the program’s adoptable pet of the week. They describe her as follows:
“Harmony is a beautiful dog — likely a mix of Schipperke and Chihuahua? She’s about 2 years old; maybe 13 pounds. Her coat is shiny and soft, and she has a docked tail. She’s fine with other dogs, and can be playful with some, but mostly she just likes being part of the gang and walk around with the others.
“Harmony is a mellow girl and doesn’t ask for much, but treats are always welcomed! She loves a good walk in the fresh air, or maybe a nice drive to the store for more snacks, and to really make a day complete, a cozy lap after dinner — or really, anytime!
“Harmony is fine with kids and loves to cuddle during story time. If you’re looking for a sweet, easy-going and lovable companion, Harmony is looking for you!”
She is housetrained, current on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $165. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses.
Since many of AAD’s dogs are in foster care, please call ahead to meet Harmony at the Hukari Animal Shelter, 3910 Heron Drive, Odell; 541-354-1083. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. Applications may be downloaded at hoodriveradoptadog.org and faxed to 877-833-7166.
