Brown Bag workshops offered

Gorge Innoventure is offering Brown Bag Workshops during February, to be held from noon to 1 p.m. at its office at 1000 E. Port Marina Drive, Ste. 101, Hood River. The cost is $5 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. For details or to register, visit gorgeinnoventure.com.

The Feb. 5 workshop will be on the subject of search engine optimization: “How to Get on the First Page of Google.” The presenter will be Scott See of J. Hammock & Associates LLC.

Search Engine Optimization is important for everyone to understand, not just a web master. This workshop will review the websites of the workshop participants and make real-life suggestions on how to improve their sites’ rankings.

On Feb. 19, Gorge Innoventure will host “No More Feast or Famine,” presented by Stephanie L. Hartman, Catalyst Performance Consulting.

Many business owners are so busy doing work for their existing customers that they don’t have time to cultivate new business. When the work is done, they are in a panic to get new customers.

Hartman will introduce the “pyramid”: a sustainable monthly schedule of customer work and marketing. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. Cost is $5 for non-members.

“Social, Mobile, Local: How to Take Advantage of These Three Internet Marketing Trends” will be held Feb. 26. It will be presented by Jurevicious Studios Inc. Learn how to turn your social media profiles, website, and local address into powerful tools that bring you web traffic and sales.

According to Google, social media, mobile technology, and geo-location will play a larger role in search results in the coming years. We’ve already seen evidence of this impact beginning, but not everyone is using these three internet marketing trends to their advantage yet.

Cost is $5 for non-members.
