Police Log for Jan. 15

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River Jan. 1-6.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence: None reported

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Jan. 1 — 17th Street at May Street — A Mosier resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Jan. 4 — Westcliff Drive, 4100 block — A The Dalles male was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a valid warrant out of Wasco County. He was also cited for unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. A female was also cited for unlawful possession of marijuana during the same incident.

Jan. 5 — Cascade Avenue, 200 block — A male and female were arrested for possession of cocaine. Both were lodged at NORCOR.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Jan. 5 — Industrial Street at Columbia Street — Three males from Washington state were cited and released for criminal mischief. They also received citations for unlawfully applying graffiti. One male was additionally cited for possessing a graffiti implement.

Jan. 6 — Cascade Avenue, 2500 block — Officer dispatched for some vandalism and graffiti to a fence and trash bin area of an area bank.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Jan. 1 — Highway 35 at milepost 100 — A Hood River resident was arrested and released for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jan. 2 — I-84 at milepost 64 — A Chehalis, Wash., resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Jan. 2 — Cascade Avenue, 2500 block — A Parkdale resident was arrested for possession of heroin and a probation detainer, and lodged at NORCOR.

Jan. 3 — Cascade Avenue, 1000 block — Officer responded to a single motor vehicle crash when a vehicle crashed into two parked vehicles. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Jan. 3 — Ninth Court, 1600 block — Report taken of possible identity theft.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Jan. 3 — 13th Street at May Street — A Hood River male was arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and lodged at NORCOR.

Jan. 4 — Sherman Avenue at Seventh Street — Officer responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a parked car. The driver of one car and the owner of the parked car exchanged information on the scene.

Jan. 6 — Ninth Street at Oak Street — Officer covered a passenger car verses a semi truck crash.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Jan. 2 — Cascade Avenue, 1800 block — A Hood River resident was arrested on a probation violation detainer and lodged at NORCOR.

Jan. 3 — Sieverkropp Drive, 800 block — A Hood River female was arrested for a violation of probation terms and lodged at NORCOR.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Jan. 5 — Cascade Avenue, 3100 block — Male arrested for criminal trespass II and theft of a bicycle, which also violated his parole out of Multnomah County.

Sex offenses:

Jan. 2 — Eighth Street — Report taken of abuse of a client by a staff member.


Jan. 1 — Fourth Street at Oak Street — Male cited for illegal use of fireworks.

Jan. 2 — Armadale Avenue, 1800 block — A set of vehicle and house keys were turned over to the Hood River Police Department. The owner of the keys was located and the property returned.
