Sen. Merkley holding Hood River town hall Jan. 21

Senator Jeff Merkley will hold town halls in Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam and Sherman Counties this week.

He will update constituents on his work in Washington, DC and answer their questions and invite their suggestions about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and America.

“Advocating for Oregonians is my number one responsibility and holding a town hall in every county is a great way to hear directly from Oregonians,” said Merkley. “I invite all residents of Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam and Sherman Counties to come and discuss what we need to do to strengthen our state and nation.”

In 2008, Merkley pledged to hold town halls in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year. He upheld his pledge in the previous five years. Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam and Sherman Counties will be his 197th, 203rd, 204th and 205th town halls as a U.S. Senator.
