Street dance at Double Mtn.

There’s a free, all-ages street dance on Sunday, July 6, on Fourth Street in front of Double Mountain Brewery in Hood River. The festivities start at 1 p.m. Music acts will include the Tess Barr Blues Band and a headlining band from Chicago that you will not want to miss. Show presented by Squrl's Blues. The Rugs at Trillium July 11

The Rugs, a folk-rock band from Chico, Calif., are touring in support of their latest 14-song album “Make Yourself At Home.” Catch them on Friday, July 11, at Hood River’s Trillium Cafe. 21 and over only. Trillium Cafe, 207 Oak St., Hood River, 541-308-0800.

Ruins open at Springhouse

Hood River's Springhouse Cellar continues its summer Ruins Tuesdays Concert Series. This popular weekly series features live music from top NW bands, local wines, beers and specialty food vendors. The events will be free and all-ages from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and then become 21 and over only after 7 p.m., with a $3 entrance fee. Attendees will be able to avoid the $3 entry fee by arriving before 7 p.m. In case of inclement weather, shows will move inside to the Back Room at Springhouse Cellar.

Free Shakespeare at Maryhill

Woodland fairies and sprites will wander the gardens at Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale on Saturday, July 19, at 3 p.m. when the Portland Actors Ensemble presents a free performance of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The popular comedy follows the adventures of four young star-crossed lovers, a group of amateur actors, and a duke and a duchess as they chance upon mischievous fairies and their elves in a magical forest. The production is part of the company’s annual Shakespeare-in-the-Parks series, which makes live theater accessible to a wide audience.

Volcanic celebrates 4 years

Volcanic Bottle Shoppe's fourth anniversary party is coming up on Saturday, July 12, with live music starting at 4:30 p.m. Positive Light Productions will be on hand to add a festive atmosphere to the music all night long. The lineup includes: 4:30 p.m. - Matt Messier and Ryan McAlexander; 6:30 p.m. - Amber and the Pale Ales; 8:30 p.m. - SmudgePot 9:30 p.m. - DJ Liggo; 10:30 p.m. - SmudgePot.
