Columbia Gorge Racing Association (CGRA.org) hosted the annual Laser Gorge Blowout race from its headquarters in Cascade Locks to the Hood River bridge Thursday (official results unavailable as of presstime Friday morning). Some of the top Laser racers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Great Britain were among the fleet to complete the famous 18-mile race. Wind conditions were light at the mass start at Cascade Locks (above) but picked up considerably as sailors made their way to the finish line at the Hood River bridge.

The event was a lead-in to the Laser Masters North American Championships, which the CGRA hosts all weekend in Cascade Locks.
