Sheriff Log for June 4

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River May 25-31.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

May 29 — Homestead Drive — Deputy responded to a domestic assault between two sisters. The parties were separated.

May 31 — S.W. Mary Street, Cascade Locks — Male arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, assault IV and criminal trespass following an attempted car prowl.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

May 25 — Homestead Drive, 3600 block — Male arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

May 27 — S.W. Cascade Avenue, 100 block — Female arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

May 29 — Acree Drive at Tucker Road — Criminal mischief II to a motor vehicle reported.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

May 31 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Identity theft and theft III reported by phone. A credit card was used without permission in another state.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

May 25 — Highway 35 at milepost 99 — Unoccupied vehicle towed for blocking.

May 25 — Reed Road, 2700 block — Deputy responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash.

May 27 — Nunamaker Drive at Orchard Road — Deputy investigated a minor damage, non-injury, two-car motor vehicle crash. No citations were issued and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

May 28 — Tucker Road at Guignard Drive — Deputy investigated a two-car motor vehicle crash. The driver of the second vehicle was cited for careless driving.

May 29 — Post Canyon Drive at Frankton Road — Abandoned vehicle towed for partially blocking roadway.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

May 25 — Portland Drive, 4000 block — Male arrested for four warrants out of Hood River County. He was also violating a court ordered non-contact order.

May 27 — State Street, 300 block —Male arrested for violating the conditions of his probation and lodged at NORCOR.

May 28 — State Street, 300 block — Female arrested for a probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

May 29 — Tucker Road, 900 block — Juvenile male arrested for a probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

May 30 — Carter Road, 1900 block — Deputies cited and released a male for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

May 27 — Bear Lake — A female reported her car had been broken into and several items stolen.

May 27 — Cascade Locks Marina Park — Theft reported from a visitor.

May 27 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Female reported theft by deception.

Other:

May 24 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 400 block, Cascade Locks — Male taken into custody on a mental hold.

May 26 — Kingsley Road — Male caught in a commercial logging operation cutting firewood. His county issued wood cutting permit was seized along with his chain saw and he was issued a citation for unlawful cutting of special forest products.

May 29 — Tucker Road at Guignard Drive — Female cited for minor in possession of alcohol following a traffic stop. She was also cited for no operator’s license, driving uninsured and issued a written warning for failure to maintain lane.

May 31 — Front Street, 200 block — Female cited with minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

May 31 — Post Canyon Staging Area — Deputy responded to a search and rescue. It was reported that a 25-year-old female crashed her bike somewhere along the 170 trail. The female was injured and needed medical assistance. She was located by the West Side Fire personnel and transported to the hospital with an arm injury.
