Show ‘n’ Shine, concert June 14
Mt. Hood Winery presents the fifth-annual Show ‘n’ Shine, on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All 1998 or earlier sports cars are welcome. This year the show will be celebrating all British sports cars. Trophies will be awarded to the top three people’s choice. All ages welcome; no admission charge.
Join Mt Hood Winery as they host the Bram Brata’ Steel Band for a free all-ages outdoor concert, on June 14, from 6-8 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy an eclectic mix of traditional Trinidadian steel drum music, Caribbean favorites, Soca, jazz, classical and modern pop and rock tunes. Free concert at Skamania Lodge
Join Randy McAllister, the Grammy-nominated Texan, as he shares his unique blend of country and blues stylings in a free outdoor concert on Skamania Lodge’s front lawn on Saturday, June 28. Bird walks scheduled June 8, 22
Hood River Hobbies has two more bird walks scheduled: Sunday, June 8, and Sunday, June 22. The group will walk Indian Creek Trail and Susan Hess is going to talk about all the restoration work the Indian Creek Stewards have done — it’s a great way to get a better appreciation of the history of the trail and the work that goes into maintaining the habitat. Barlow Road plays June 12
Get ready for some new tunes from locals Barlow Road on Thursday, June 12, at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe in Hood River. St. Petersburg Men’s ensemble in Hood River June 10
Get ready for a return visit from an amazing Russian vocal quartet – the St. Petersburg Men’s Ensemble. Sacred and secular music, Russian and English. If you like great singing, this one is for you. According to the groups Facebook page, their “repertoire encompasses various epochs and styles – from ancient Russian chants and chorals of Western European to modern music. Since one of the tasks of the ensemble is the popularization of preeminently Russian music, our program allows to most fully elucidating and introducing our audience to Russian folk songs, secular and ecclesiastic compositions, as well as modern composers and transpositions of popular melodies.”
