A celebration to honor the 100 years since the Mount Hood Town Hall was built will be held Saturday, June 28, outdoors under the summer sky and under the big tent on the front lawn.
The 100th Year Celebration, in lieu of the annual Enchanted Evening event, starts at 5:30 p.m. with dinner from Lilo’s Hawaiian BBQ and includes dessert and one free drink for $35 per person.
Live music will be provided by The Groove Project and there will be a live auction to raise funds to support programs, renovations and ongoing management of the historic building.
The 100th year planning committee has invited everyone in the community to attend and if you still need to buy your open seating tickets or reserve a table of eight, you can visit http://bit.ly/1qkJZ6x or call Heather at 541-490-0352.
If you have an item or items that you or your business would like to donate to the auction you can contact Christina at 541-490-6844.
The Mount Hood Town Hall’s new playground is now being enjoyed by Upper Valley children and the board would like to thank its supporters for making it all happen.
The project was a collaboration between the Town Hall board, volunteers in the community and the Parks and Recreation department.
“We’d like to thank the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for funding our grant,” said Mount Hood Town Hall Manager Nikki Stansel. “We couldn’t have finished the project without the help of the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation Board of Directors, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Association, Hood River County’s maintenance and construction section, and of course all our wonderful Mount Hood Town Hall volunteers!”
