Class Notes: Noah Tauscher attends Grammy Camp

The Grammy Foundation recently announced that Noah Tauscher, a Hood River Valley High School senior, was selected to attend Grammy Camp 2014, to be held this July on the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles.

Grammy Camp offers high school students an interactive 10-day residential summer music experience. The camp features eight music career tracks, including songwriting, vocal performance, audio recording and music journalism. All tracks culminate in media projects, recordings and performances in various LA venues.

Seventeen year-old singer/songwriter Tauscher was selected for the songwriting track after submitting two of his original compositions.

The songwriter track helps aspiring musicians sharpen their skills while exploring song structure, harmony, melody, lyric writing and vocal technique.

You can hear Tauscher perform his original compositions as well as covers of songs by Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Matt Nathanson at NoahTauscher. You can also see him at the Sandbar Cafe on June 28 at 7 p.m. and the Gorge Grown Market on July 3 at 4:30 p.m.
