Parkdale Carnival returns on March 14

Parkdale Elementary School carnival, a community tradition, returns on March 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. Cooper Spur Restaurant will be catering this year.

Some of the fun includes game booths (with a few new ones), bounce house/slide, and Nerf Zone. In addition, the cake walk will feature choices of baked goods donated by various local restaurants.

The raffle is back with prizes including Collins Lake Resort package, Lost Lake boat rentals, brewery tours and tastings, fishing poles, sports gear, toys, clothing, spa treatments, wine, and blueberries. Raffle tickets are on sale for $1. Proceeds benefit the Parent Teacher Association general fund, with some of the revenue to be used for new playground equipment. Raffle tickets can be purchased from students or at the school; as an incentive, if the students sell 3,500 raffle tickets or more, Principal Kim Vogel will submit to being “slimed” by students during an assembly on March 23.

The carnival takes place at the school and is open to anyone.
