Police Log for March 12

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River Feb. 24-March 2.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

March 2 — Sieverkropp Drive, 900 block — Two juvenile males were arrested for domestic assault IV and lodged at NORCOR.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Feb. 26 — I-84 at milepost 62 — A White Salmon, Wash., resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Feb. 28 — Pacific Avenue at Woods Court — Male cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana after a traffic stop.

Feb. 28 — Sherman Avenue at 13th Street — Hood River resident cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Feb. 25 — Dock Road, 2600 block — Hood River male cited and released for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Due to mental health, the subject was released to his parents.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

March 1 — Cascade Avenue at Second Street — Washington resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and released.

March 2 — Cascade Avenue, 2600 block — Carson, Wash., resident arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Feb. 27 — Oak Street, 1600 block — Possible identity theft reported.

Feb. 28 — 12th Street, 1800 block — Underwood, Wash., male arrested for identity theft, giving false information to a police officer, and theft III.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Feb. 26 — I-84 at milepost 62 — A Washington male was stopped for driving while using a cellphone. He was also cited for driving while suspended. Vehicle was towed.

March 1 — I-84 at milepost 64 — Officer took report of a two-car motor vehicle crash. The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

March 1 — Cascade Avenue, 2100 block — Vehicle towed after driver was cited for violation driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

None reported

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Feb. 22 — Cascade Avenue, 2000 block — An unknown person stole an employee’s cellphone from the break room of a local drugstore/pharmacy.

Feb. 27 — Oak Street, 300 block — Male arrested after stealing personal items belonging to a business patron after entering a business and then running when confronted.

Feb. 28 — State Street, 100 block — Deputy responded to a report of theft of services at a local restaurant. The suspect was located and made a civil compromise.

March 1 — 12th Street, 1000 block — Stolen gun recovered.

Sex offenses:

March 2 — Cascade Avenue, 2100 block — Officer received report involving the electronic distribution on social media of sexual content involving at least one 15-year-old female.

Other:

Feb. 24 — Fifth Street at June Street — Dog at large, biting a Hood River resident reported.

Feb. 26 — State Street at East Second Street — A bike was found.

Feb. 27 — 13th Street, 1400 block — A wallet was reported found at a local coffee shop.

Feb. 28 — Belmont Avenue, 1300 block — Officer responded to an unattended death.
