It’s already time to start thinking about summer and Vacation Bible School in the Upper Valley.
The four churches of Parkdale Community, Parkdale Nazarene, Parkdale Baptist and Pillar Bible Fellowship are co-sponsoring VBS together the week of June 23-27.
Dinners will be held each evening at 5 p.m. for children ages 2 years to eighth grade, their families, and VBS helpers, followed by activities from 5:30-8 p.m.
SonQuest Rainforest is a five-day journey of following Jesus on a life-changing adventure that combines music, crafts, Bible stories, skits and puppet theater to teach children and give them the opportunity to make new friends.
Parents can register their children at any of the four churches or by calling Jan Dykstra at 541-806-0881.
Don’t forget the Parkdale Grange is serving up Mother’s Day breakfast this Sunday, May 11, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the Grange Hall.
This will be the final Grange breakfast for the season.
Everyone in the community is invited to treat the mothers in their lives to a special homemade breakfast out and support the Grange at the same time.
The Mount Hood Town Hall will hold its 100th Anniversary Celebration as a special edition of the annual Enchanted Evening fundraiser titled “Seasons of the Upper Valley” on Saturday, June 28, this year.
The evening will combine music, good food, and auctions along with friends and neighbors for a big evening of fun and celebration.
The hearty soup dinner is $30 per person and includes salads, sides, bread, dessert, and one drink.
Live local music will be provided by bands Toy Gun Conspiracy and Unbroken Circle.
