‘Best of the Gorge’ opens June 6

The Best of the Gorge art exhibition celebrates and rewards the best art work produced by mid-Columbia residents.

This Year’s juror is Arthur DeBow, curator and director of exhibitions at Oregon College of Art and Craft. DeBow selected 40 pieces to exhibit in the gallery for the month of June.

For many years The Gallery at Columbia Center for the Arts had a summer show titled “Hail Mid-Columbia” and it celebrated the best work of Gorge residents. The Best of the Gorge will continue that tradition.

The show will open during First Friday, June 6, with a reception from 6-8 p.m. At 6 p.m. DeBow will announces prize winners and discusses his selection process.

Best of the Gorge is sponsored by the Laurance Brothers Inc, Nora’s Table, Oak Street Hotel, The Pines and The Ruddy Duck.
