Michelle McGrath, executive director of Gorge Grown Food Network, has taken a position with Oregon Environmental Council in Portland as of July 1.
McGrath joined GGFN in the winter of 2011 as a part-time outreach manager. In fall 2012, McGrath advanced to co-director, and one year later, executive director.
“GGFN has thoroughly benefited from the three-plus years that Michelle has served as a core member of our team, and especially so from the two years in which she has held a leadership role in the organization,” said board president Susan McCourt, announcing McGrath’s departure on the network’s website.
“We will miss Michelle greatly, but we are grateful for her years of excellent service,” McCourt said. “She leaves GGFN in great shape — the organization is poised to continue our important food system programs. We have funding, community support, vibrant programs, a great board, and fantastic staff. The board thanks Michelle for her hard work and diligence over the last three years.”
GGFN is searching for a new executive director before McGrath leaves at the end of June. Applications are due May 19; send a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject “Executive Director Application.”
