Police Log for May 17

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River May 5-9.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

May 6 — I-84 at milepost 64 — A Bingen, Wash., resident was arrested on the charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and possession of oxycodone and lodged at NOROR.

May 7 — 12th Street, 800 block — Officer dispatched to a local hospital regarding a patient giving a staff member of bundle of methamphetamine. The patient was later arrested and lodged at NORCOR.

May 7 — 12th Street, 1200 block — A The Dalles resident was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

May 5 — Serpentine Drive at Eugene Street — A Hood River resident was arrested on the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and failure to present and carry driver’s license, and lodged at NORCOR.

May 8 — 12th Street at Hull Street — A Hood River male was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and lodged at NORCOR. His vehicle was towed.

May 9 — Cascade Avenue, 3100 block — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and misdemeanor driving and lodged at NORCOR. The vehicle was secured on scene.

May 9 — June Street at 12th Street — A resident of Italy was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

May 6 — Armadale Avenue, 1800 block — Hood River resident reported identity theft. Although there were no financial losses, personal information had been stolen.

May 8 — Cascade Avenue, 3100 block — Fraudulent use of debit card reported.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

May 5 — Cascade Avenue, 400 block — Officer took information on a motor vehicle crash. One of the two parties was driving uninsured and was cited for the violation.

May 5 — N. Second Street at Portway Avenue — Officer responded to a motor vehicle crash involving one vehicle and one bicyclist. There were no injuries.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

May 7 — Cascade Commons Parking Lot — A Cascade Locks male was arrested on a probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

May 8 — Eugene Street — Officer responded to a disturbance within the city of Hood River. One of the involved parties had a no-contact order.

May 9 — Eliot Drive, 3100 block — A Hood River male was as arrested on a warrant for probation violation out of Hood River County.


May 8 — Brookside Drive, 1500 block — Officer conducted an unattended death investigation.

May 8 — 12th Street, 1800 block — Found property recovered at a local supermarket.
