Sheriff Log for May 21

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River May 10-18.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

May 16 — Neal Creek Road — Deputy responded to an unfounded domestic disturbance.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

May 12 — Kingsley Road — A Cook, Wash., resident was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana after a deputy witnessed her smoking marijuana out of a pipe on the side of the road.

May 12 — Belmont Avenue at 17th Street — Deputy assisted the Hood River Police Department with a traffic stop. A male was arrested for possession and delivery of methamphetamine and heroin.

May 14 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Male contacted regarding possible marijuana found inside his residence.

May 17 — Homestead Drive, 3600 block — Methamphetamine pipes and three small plastic baggies with white residue found after a search request was granted.

May 18 — Gilhouley Road, 3100 block — Male arrested for a felony warrant for robbery III out of the Oregon Youth Authority. He was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of over one ounce of marijuana and lodged at NORCOR.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

None reported

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

May 10 — Country Club Road at Barrett Drive — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following contact made after the vehicle pulled off the roadway. The driver refused the breath test and a blood warrant was obtained and served. He was lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

May 15 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 500 block, Cascade Locks — Deputy took report that someone had passed a counterfeit bill.

May 18 — 12th Street at Pacific Avenue — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop. A male passenger was also arrested for a probation violation during the stop. Both were lodged at NORCOR.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

May 11 — Lingren Road at Ehrck Hill Drive — Vehicle towed after traffic stop for defective brake light. Driver was cited for no operator’s license and driving uninsured.

May 13 — Country Club Road at West Ridge Drive — Male cited for driving uninsured and driving without a license. The vehicle was towed.

May 15 — Highway 35 at Nastasi Drive — Driver cited for violation driving while suspended, driving uninsured and received a written warning for expired registration following a traffic stop. The vehicle was towed.

May 17 — Indian Creek Road, 1100 block — Juvenile male arrested after a single vehicle rollover crash. He was transported to the emergency room by ambulance and later consented to a blood draw. The male was issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol by consumption, and released to his father.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

May 13 — State Street, 300 block — Female taken into custody on a probation violation.

May 14 — S.W. Venture Street, 0-17 block, Cascade Locks — Female arrested for an existing warrant originating out of Union County.

May 15 — Orchard Road, 1500 block — Male arrested on an active probation arrest warrant and lodged at NORCOR.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

May 12 — Herman Creek Trail Head, Cascade Locks — Male and female contacted regarding an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft I complaint.

May 14 — N.E. Forest Lane, 900 block, Cascade Locks — Theft reported.

May 15 — Avalon Drive, 3500 block — Theft from last winter reported.

Sex offenses:

None reported

Other:

May 11 — Eagle Creek Trailhead, Cascade Locks — Deputy responded to a search and rescue request for a female injured her ankle and needed assistance. She was brought down and transported to the hospital via a private party.

May 12 — Morton Road, 400 block — Deputy covered the unattended death of a male.

May 13 — Eliot Glacier — Deputy responded to a search and rescue on Mt. Hood. A climber had witnessed another climber fall from the north face of the summit into Eliot Glacier. The reporting person advised that they looked over the edge but could not see any sign of the climber.

May 16 — Hood River Marina — Deputies responded to a kiteboarder in distress on the Columbia River. The subject was pulled to safety after her gear had become entangled in a buoy.

May 17 — 12th Street, 800 block — Deputy took report of an unattended death.
