About the Christmas Project:
The Hood River County Christmas Project provides assistance with food and children’s gifts during the holidays to low income families living within Hood River County. This year will mark the 90th year of the program, which is based on community participation.
Approximately 500 families (2,000 men, women and children) were registered in 2012 and were provided with food and toy assistance.
Community involvement and generosity makes a huge difference and helps make Christmas very special for these local families in need. Christmas Project signups start in early December; see Hood River News for details about how to sign up, or how to donate and volunteer with the county-wide project.
