Meagan Thomsen and David Rummel were married Sept. 27, 2014 at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center in The Dalles.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Hood River Valley High School and a 2006 graduate of University of Portland School of Nursing. She works as Nurse Quality Supervisor for Providence Medical Group. Her parents are Chuck and Kristi Thomsen of Hood River.

The groom is the son of Robert and Teresa Rummel of Tacoma, Wash, and a 2005 graduate of Stadium High School. He works as Product Support Engineer for Pitney Bowes.

Officiating was Matthew Bell, cousin of the groom. Bridesmaids were sisters-in-law Nicole Rummel, and Caitlin Tukua. Ring bearers wee Jack Rummel and Henry Barber, nephews of the groom.

Mallory Libeg, the bride’s sister, served as matron of honor, and Christopher Rummel, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsman was Brent Tukua, brother-in-law. The couple honeymooned in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii, and lives on the Thomsen family orchard in Pine Grove.

The bride wore a strapless gown of ivory silk dupioni with a sweetheart lace neckline and trumpet silhouette. Wedding colors were white, silver, and aquamarine. Flowers were white hydrangeas by Lucy’s Informal Flowers. The reception was catered by Antojitos Sanhuayo, and the cake was baked by the bride’s cousin, Lindsey Ewald of Frosted.
