The Oregon Swimming Speedo Long Course Championships were another great meet for the Hood River Valley Swim Team Osprey. The women placed ninth out of 44 teams in the team division with personal best times by all swimmers, and with team records set by two individuals and by three relay teams.

Dhani Freeland led the Osprey with a state champion first-place finish in the 200-meter Individual Medley with a time of 2 minutes, 25.64 seconds. This time broke the previous team record set by Bethany Pendleton in 1998, and is a Futures Championship qualifying time, which is a higher level of competition within the hierarchy of swim meet classifications. Dhani also placed fourth in the 400m freestyle (4:36.01), seventh in the 100m breaststroke (1:20.37), 11th in the 100m backstroke (1:10.94), sixth in the 200m freestyle (1:11.99), and 14th in the 100m freestyle (1:03.19).

Kylie Webb also set a new team record in the 400m IM, where she placed second overall, and lowered her previously held record to 5:14.85. Kylie placed ninth in the 100m butterfly (1:07.42), 25th in the 50m freestyle (29.58) and had a fifth-place finish in the 200m breaststroke (2:51.91).

Danielle Miller placed 23rd in the 100 backstroke (1:13.67) and 24th in the 200 backstroke (2:38.37).

Erin Nelson placed 19th in the 400m freestyle (4:56.09), 26th in the 200 backstroke (2:38.46) and 26th in the 200m freestyle (2:19.94).

Mariah Rawding placed fourth in the 200m IM (2:30.97) with a Sectional qualifying time.

The 200 Medley Relay of Miller, Webb, Freeland and Nelson placed ninth with a time of 2:11.70. The 200 freestyle relay of Freeland, Nelson, Webb and Rawding placed second and set a new HRVST record (and a Sectional qualifying time) with a time of 1:54.24. The 400 MR of Miller, Rawding, Webb and Freeland broke a team record last set in 1995 with a Sectional qualifying time of 4:40.49. Rawding, Webb, Nelson and Freeland joined together once more to place second in the 400 freestyle relay with a Sectional qualifying time and team record time of 4:12.56.
