Sheriff Log, July 20 to Aug. 6

All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

July 20 — Hutson Road — Deputy responded to a call of an out of control juvenile. The juvenile caused damaged to a state-owned vehicle, caused bodily harm to a state worker and caused damage to his mother’s residence.

July 31 — Highway 35 — Possible harassment reported.

Aug. 1 — Rawson Road — Possible assault reported.

Aug. 1 — Kingsley Reservoir — Menacing reported.

Aug. 5 — S.W. John Quincy Court, Cascade Locks — Male arrested for felony domestic assault IV and harassment.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

July 25 — N.W. WaNaPa Street, 300 block — Two males arrested for trespassing.

July 26 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 300 block, Cascade Locks — Unlawful application of graffiti reported.

July 27 — Country Club Road, 1300 block — Attempted break in reported, in which a screen had been partially removed from the frame.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

July 25 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. BAC registered .16 percent.

July 31 — Parkdale — Male cited and released for the crimes of reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol after a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 35. He was transported to the emergency room and held overnight for observation.

Aug. 1 — Highway 35 at Masse Grade — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving after a two vehicle crash, after the arrested driver crashed into an oncoming vehicle. No injuries were reported. Oregon State Police handled the crash report and later arrested the driver for misdemeanor driving while suspended and unsafe left turn. BAC registered .13 percent.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

July 20 — State Street, 300 block — Male reported identity theft pertaining to a credit card theft.

July 27 — S.E. Sunset Avenue, 300 block, Cascade Locks — Identity theft reported.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

July 20 — Tucker Road and Orchard Road — Deputy dispatched to a non-injury, non-blocking traffic crash.

July 23 — Wy’east Road, 3000 block — Hit and run reported.

July 24 — Cascade Locks — Male cited and released for failing to stop and weigh his commercial motor vehicle.

July 25 — Highway 282 at Summit Drive — Deputy responded to a two vehicle crash blocking the north bound lane. No injuries were reported.

July 26 — Highway 35, 1900 block — Deputy responded to a two vehicle, non-injury crash. Both vehicles were towed.

July 27 — Jeanette Road, 1600 block — Reckless driving reported.

July 31 — Hood River — Non-injury motor vehicle crash reported.

July 31 — Brookside Drive, 3600 block — Hit and run reported.

Aug. 1 — Glass Drive, 2700 block — Deputy responded to a possible motor vehicle crash. Vehicle located. The owner of the vehicle later signed it stolen.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

July 21 — Hood River — Juvenile male arrested on an outstanding warrant issued from the Oregon Youth Authority. Also during this incident, an 18-year-old male eluded being arrested, also on a warrant from the Oregon Youth Authority.

July 23 — Cascade Avenue, 2300 block — Juvenile male arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at NORCOR.

July 23 — State Street, 300 block — Juvenile male arrested at the direction of his probation officer after the juvenile failed a urine analysis test. He was lodged at the NORCOR Juvenile Detention Facility.

July 30 — Ehrck Hill Road, 3200 block — Male arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 1 — Powerdale Dam — Deputy dispatched on an animal complaint. Male arrested for an outstanding warrant and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 4 — Clear Creek Road, 7500 block — Deputy spoke with Parkdale male who was intoxicated and on probation with a no alcohol rule.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

July 23 — Mud Alley Drive, 3700 block — Theft reported.

July 28 — Cascade Locks — Theft reported at a trailhead.

July 28 — Wyeth Road, Cascade Locks — Theft reported.

July 31 — Cascade Locks — Vehicle broken into while parked at the Wyeth Trailhead and personal items taken.

Aug. 3 — Eastside Road, 2000 block — Burglary reported.

Aug. 3 — Odell Highway 3200 block — Theft reported. Later in the night most of the items were recovered after three juvenile males ran from a campsite and left the items behind.

Aug. 5 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Juvenile arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was lodged at NORCOR Juvenile.

Sex offenses:

Aug. 2 — Cascade Locks — Assault and sexual abuse reported.

Aug. 5 — Hood River — Deputy received report of sex abuse/contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Other:

July 21 — 12th Street, 1300 block — A weapon entered by the Hood River Sheriff’s Office in 1997 as stolen was recovered in Westminster, Calif.

July 22 — Wy’east Road, 3000 block — Two juvenile females were cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

July 22 — Wy’east Road, 3000 block — A juvenile male was cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

July 23 — N.E. Forest Lane, 800 block, Cascade Locks — Deputies took a report of private indecency.

July 24 — Kirby Drive, 3900 block — Male and a juvenile male were cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

July 25 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 400 block, Cascade Locks — Male escaped from custody after being arrested for criminal trespassing. He was taken into custody the following morning and lodged at NORCOR.

July 25 — Brookside Drive, 3600 block — Male cited for minor in possession of alcohol following a traffic stop.

July 29 — Hood River — Male cited for minor in possession of alcohol following a traffic stop.

Aug. 1 — Laurence Lake Road — Deputy assisted a USFS Officer at the settling pond on Laurence Lake Road after the officer contacted a group of juveniles with an illegal camp fire. Alcohol was present and one juvenile female was passed out in a vehicle due to alcohol consumption. Her mother came and took her home before the deputy arrived. After interviewing the rest of the group, the deputy cited one juvenile male for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption; he was also cited and released for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Four other juveniles were released without citations.

Aug. 5 — Odell Highway, 3200 block — Female contacted regarding a runaway juvenile, who was later located by the Hodo River Police.

Aug. 5 — Hood River — Juvenile female bitten on her leg as she walked. The dog was contained and taken to the Animal Shelter by the owners for a 10 day quarantine.

Aug. 5 — Odell — Juvenile male cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
