Sheriff Log, Aug. 14 to 24

All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Aug. 17 — S.W. Ruckel Street, Cascade Locks — Juvenile male arrested for three counts of assault IV against another juvenile male.

Aug. 17 — Woodworth Drive — Assault reported.

Aug. 18 — Cascade Locks — Deputy took information in regards to a motor vehicle crash in Cascade Locks. The driver was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, reckless endangering and assault III. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital by EMS.

Aug. 19 — Summit Drive — Harassment reported.

Aug. 23 — N.W. WaNaPa Street, Cascade Locks — Male arrested for menacing, disorderly conduct II and harassment, and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 24 — N.W. Clark Street, Cascade Locks — Harassment reported.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Aug. 15 — Tucker Road, 900 block — Male arrested for possession of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 20 — Hood River — Female from Aloha was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended, failure to return a suspended license, two counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and a probation violation. She was also cited for exceeding the speed limit. Her vehicle was towed and she was lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Aug. 18 — Cherry Drive, 3400 block — Identify theft investigated. One juvenile was cited into juvenile court.

n Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Aug. 14 — Cascade Locks — Male cited and released for failing to stop and weigh his commercial motor vehicle.

Aug. 16 — Hood River — Deputy responded to a report of a female yelling in the orchard near Nunamaker Drive. Upon arriving, the deputy attempted to stop a vehicle that was leaving. The driver eluded the deputy and crashed in an orchard off of North Orchard Road. Three occupants fled and were not located. The vehicle was towed and the driver was later arrested for attempt to elude vehicle and foot, and hit and run with property damage.

Aug. 18 — Highway 35, 6200 block — Deputy responded to a two car, non-injury motor vehicle crash.

Aug. 18 — Wy’east Road, 3200 block — Hit and run with property damage reported.

Aug. 19 — Hood River — Deputies had a vehicle towed for no insurance.

Aug. 20 — Parkdale — Male arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended and lodged at NORCOR. He was additionally charged with a probation violation.

Aug. 20 — Davis Drive, 3500 block — Male arrested for attempting to elude by vehicle, reckless driving and driving while suspended. He was lodged at NROCOR.

Aug. 20 — Summit Drive, 4300 block — Deputy covered a single car, non-injury motor vehicle crash. The car was heavily damaged. The driver fled the area prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Aug. 23 — WaNaPa and Lakeside Avenue, Cascade Locks — Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft I reported. A vehicle for sale on a trailer was stolen.

Aug. 24 — Hood River — Hit and run reported.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Aug. 15 — Ehrck Hill Drive, 3700 block — Juvenile male taken into custody for a probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 15 — Odell Highway, 3100 block — Juvenile taken into custody on a local warrant. He was additionally cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 15 — S.E. Hammond Avenue, 100 block, Cascade Locks — Male arrested on a warrant.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Aug. 14 — Peters Drive, 3800 block — Stolen prescription medicine reported.

Aug. 17 — Dee Highway, 4700 block — Burglary to a vacation home reported.

Aug. 19 — Wyeth Campground — Car prowl reported.

Aug. 20 — Hood River — Car prowl reported at Viento State Park.

Aug. 20 — Hood River — Two subjects were contacted regarding a theft and criminal mischief complaint.

Aug. 24 — Trout Creek Ridge Road, 6400 block — Theft reported.

Sept. 24 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 300 block, Cascade Locks — Theft investigated. One juvenile male was lodged at NORCOR.


Aug. 15 — Bartlett Drive, 4100 block — Female runaway reported.

Aug. 16 — Henderson Road, 700 block — Need of psychiatric medical intervention reported.

Aug. 18 — State Street, 300 block — Deputy placed a County hard drive that had classified information into evidence.

Aug. 20 — Cherry Drive, 3400 block — Runaway reported. The child was located on the same date and returned to parent.

Aug. 21 — Hood River — The Sheriff’s Office conducted a search and rescue for a missing paddle boarder.

Aug. 24 — N.E. Forest Lane, 800 block, Cascade Locks — Juvenile runaway reported.
