Cooper Spur Ski Area has opened!

Cooper Spur has begun its holiday schedule and will be open daily through Jan. 3. All 50 acres of the ski area will be open, served by the Homestead lift and a beginner rope tow.

Lift tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for juniors ages 7-14 and seniors 65 and older. Rental equipment is available and group lessons are offered every day (no reservations needed).

Cooper Spur also offers a tubing tow; a four-hour tube shift is $12 (includes the tube) and those tubing must be at least 42 inches tall. For smaller guests, there is a free tubing carousel — a merry-go-round like amusement ride.

The Cooper Spur Nordic Center (located at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort) is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center offers up to 6 KM of set track for skating and traditional striding. There is also a snowshoe trail.

The trail fee is $15 for adults and $10 for juniors 12 and under or seniors over age 65. Cross country ski equipment and snowshoes can be rented at the Nordic Center.

For the operational schedule and conditions information visit CooperSpur.com or call the snowphone at 541-352-6692 Ext 6000.
