Sheriff Log, Jan. 18 to 25

All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Jan. 18 — N.E. Forest Lane, Cascade Locks — Domestic violence assault reported. After interviewing both parties, a male subject was arrested for domestic assault IV.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Jan. 20 — Highway 35 at Meadowbrook — Male cited and released for unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Jan. 21 — Indian Creek Road, 1200 block — Juvenile cited for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Jan. 22 — Avalon Drive, 3400 block — Criminal mischief reported.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Jan. 23 — Hood River — Female arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane, violation of the basic rule and a lighting infraction. BAC registered .16 percent.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Jan. 21 — Baseline Drive, 4900 block — Deputy took a report of bad checks being issued in Parkdale.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Jan. 19 — Highway 35, 4700 block — Damage to a patrol vehicle sustained during a traffic stop.

Jan. 22 — Highway 35 at Glass Drive — Unattended vehicle towed because it was a hazard to motorists.

Jan. 25 — I-84 near milepost 63 — Deputy assisted a city officer who had one person in custody and was towing the vehicle that had been stopped. When another vehicle arrived to pick up the passengers, the deputy checked the driver for a valid license. She was suspended in Oregon and did not have insurance. She was also cited and her vehicle was towed.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Jan. 18 — York Hill, 5100 block — Female arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Wasco County. She was lodged at NORCOR.

Jan. 21 — Orchard Road, 1500 block — Male taken into custody for a probation violation. He was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

Jan. 22 — S.E. Hammond Avenue, 100 block, Cascade Locks — One male and one female arrested for a probation violation and a warrant.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Jan. 22 — Ackerman Drive, 3900 block — Theft reported.

Jan. 22 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 400 block, Cascade Locks — Theft of services reported.

Sex offenses:

None reported


Jan. 20 — Kinglsey Reservoir — Report taken of a building being burned down.

Jan. 20 — Cascade Avenue, 2300 block — Two individuals were arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor after allowing two juveniles to smoke marijuana in their residence/RV.

Jan. 22 — Farwig Road, 3100 block — Juvenile runaway reported.

Jan. 22 — Tucker Road — Deputy investigated the death of a man who was found unconscious.

Jan. 23 — Highway 281 near milepost 13 — Deputy took possession of found property consisting of 14 total examples of very poorly copied paper monetary notes.

Jan. 23 — Highway 35, 14000 block — Unattended death reported.

Jan. 24 — AGA Road, 3300 block — Juvenile female reported missing. She later returned home.

Jan. 24 — Highway 35 — Male cited and released for throwing burning material from a vehicle.

Jan. 25 — Riordan Hill area — Three juveniles were cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption after deputies responded to a reported MIP party. Parents of the juveniles were contact and took custody of their children at the scene.

Jan. 25 — Highway 35, 14000 block — Search and rescue for a lost skier.
