Father’s Day at History Museum

Looking for a fun and family-friendly Father’s Day activity? The History Museum of Hood River County is having a Father’s Day Celebration with fun activities for dads and kids to do together: terra cotta pot painting and seed planting, vegetable car racing, cornhole tournament, giant Jenga, and scavenger hunts. The new exhibition “Outdoor Recreation: The Heart of Hood River County,” is perfect for fathers and kids alike. See the first generation of wind surfing boards, aka the “Darby Board,” as well as a sail boat specially designed for kids.

Feeny, Johnedis featured in house concert June 19

Catherine Feeny’s “quietly arresting vocals and classic pop songwriting” pairs well with Chris Johnedis’s “R&B inflected polyryhthms, masterfully maximizing their tools — ukulele, voice, guitar and drums,” on the duo’s latest CD release. ‘Vector Row’ at Trillium June 18

Ruins Tuesday shows on tap

The outdoor venue at Springhouse Cellars is heating up on Tuesday evenings with hot Northwest music and classic Hood River summer crowds.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and it’s all ages, no cover until 7 p.m.; 21 and over, $3 cover after 7 p.m.

June 16: Eletrapod: Dance, Electronica, Funk-Rock group from Bend.

June 23: Polecat: Americana/roots music with tinges of Irish and rock

June 30: Tubaluba with locals Kitchen Table. Expect a New Orleans party in the “Jambalaya Brass Rock” style.

Elks golf tournament June 27

Hood River Elks Lodge No. 1507 presents its 18th annual Charity Golf Tournament June 27 at Indian Creek Golf Course. Registration begins at 1:45 p.m.

Entry fee is $320 per team or $80 per player. This is an 18 hole scramble, shot gun start tournament. Entry fee includes a cart, dinner and beer, prizes and a silent auction. Mulligan tickets are $5 each, with a maximum of 8 per team.

Team entry deadline is June 25.
