As of Tuesday, March 17, 2015
Each year, the President of the United States proclaims the month of March as Red Cross Month to honor the lifesaving work the organization does throughout the year. The Red Cross helps save lives each day by managing nearly half of the nation’s blood supply. In the United States, every two seconds, someone needs blood. It must be readily available for accident victims, people undergoing routine surgeries, people with rare blood disorders and premature babies.
Any healthy person age 18 (age 16 and 17 with signed parental consent) or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required for all donations.
To schedule an appointment to donate blood at the Hood River Armory on March 25, 2015 from 12:30-6:30 p.m. Sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi. For more information call Margo Parker at 541-387-3669 or visit redcrossblood.org (sponsor code: HoodRiver).
