May Street, Wy’east, S. Wasco advance to Oregon Battle of Books State event

On March 15, schools from Hood River, Sherman, and Wasco counties competed in the Region 4 East Tournament of Oregon Battle of the Books at The Dalles Middle School. OBOB is divided into three divisions, grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. First place teams qualify for the state tournament which will be held April 11 at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. Results in the three divisions are as follows:

3-5

3rd: Mosier Community School

2nd: Parkdale Elementary School

1st: May Street Elementary School

May Street Coach Molly Fauth, Lucas Elliott, Angus Kellums, and Kiernan Chown.

6-8

3rd: St. Mary’s Academy

2nd: Dufur School District

1st: Wy’east Middle School
