Gratitude goes out for acts of help and hospitality

“In appreciation for Providence Hood River Hospital, I want to express my gratitude for the kindest and best care one could imagine while a patient recently,” writes Marcy Nordwall. “Dr. John Durkan, his staff and all of the staff of the hospital have made my experience so very pleasant. We are so fortunate to have such a world-class service in our beautiful Gorge.”

“The staff of Wy’east Middle School would like to extend an enormous thank you to all the families who attended this year’s Fall Eagle Fest Open House event,” writes Jackie Heck, Fall Eagle Fest Coordinator.

“Kathy Remer and Rita Schneeberg prepared an Italian feast and our teachers and student volunteers served to our families.

“A very special thank you goes out to local businesses who contributed to the event, including Rosauer’s Supermarket, Columbia Gorge Organics, and Hood River Tire Factory. These businesses have long been great supporters of our school and their contributions were very much appreciated!

“We were overcome with gratitude to our community agencies for providing valuable information to our families. Thank you to Hood River County Library, Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, Health Media, Mid-Columbia Children’s Council, OSU Extension Food Hero, Boy Scouts, Hood River County Health Department, Hood River Parks and Recreation, Hood River County Sherriff’s Department, and 911.

“Also, thanks goes out to the Hood River Valley High School student community service volunteers who took time out of their own busy schedules to help with the numerous duties during the evening.

“Thank you.’
