New exhibit opens at The Dalles Art Center

Three local artists of the Columbia Gorge are displaying a breadth of art at The Dalles Art Center, in an exhibit called “Pottery — Painting — Jewels.”

Arlene Larison, a founder of the Golden Art Guild in Goldendale, Wash., past board member and longtime artist and volunteer at The Dalles Art Center, is exhibiting her entire body of work here for the last time. After having such a strong and positive influence on the local art community, and TDAC especially, she has priced her artwork to sell.

Rebecca Brochu is the featured ceramist for this show. She was first featured at TDAC in March 2014 with CGCC pottery students of PK Hoffman. Now she is exhibiting on her own and is a permanent artist in our juried sales gallery.

Rebeccah Beitl is featuring a collection of jewelry with the show. Her jewelry stands apart from the rest by her use of copper and beautiful wire wrapping. Beitl repurposes many of her materials, including the copper wire and glass that she includes.

The Dalles Art Center is located at 220 E Fourth St., The Dalles. For more information, visit www., email the or call 541-296-4759.
